I am a human-centered designer passionate about product strategy and creating intuitive user experiences that balance business goals with user needs. As a purpose-driven individual, I strive to develop products and experiences that make a positive impact on both people and the planet. I focus on solving the challenge of finding the optimal balance between desirability, profitability, and feasibility.
Often referred to as a full-stack designer or a hybrid, I excel in UX and product strategy while seamlessly transitioning to UI design and developing design systems. My greatest strength lies in my ability to navigate between the big-picture vision and the finer details.
I bring positive energy, curiosity, and passion to the workplace. As a colleague, I'm always eager to learn from others and foster a safe, enjoyable environment where humor and collaboration thrive.
In addition to my design work, I am a visual artist who creates abstract, colorful paintings in my spare time. This artistic practice keeps my creative muscles strong and flexible, enhancing my abilities as a product designer. The exploration of colors, forms, and concepts in my art feeds back into my design process, allowing me to approach challenges with fresh perspectives and innovative solutions.
I come from an unconventional background that has shaped my unique skills and perspectives. Growing up in a working-class family in remote Swedish Lapland, a career in academia and design seemed unlikely. Before design, my journey includes roles as a hairdresser, makeup artist, security guard, and experiences at an organic oyster farm in Alaska and as a puma caretaker in Bolivia. My curiosity has led me on three extended backpacking trips through the Global South, including seven months in India and Nepal in 2018 to study yoga and Buddhism. These experiences enrich my work, enabling me to make connections that others might overlook.
